A ‘Stan or Two?

When friends move somewhere new, the Coxon’s quite often say ‘We’ll visit you!’, and generally we do, if we can. So when Mr and Mrs F said they were moving to Kazakhstan for a few years, no one was surprised we said it to them too. However, people MAY be surprised that we might just actually pop in to visit!

This all started last week with a conversation about going skiing in March. I have to admit, I’ve really lost the skiing bug. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy it while I’m there, but the thought of all that cold (and exercise) is just not making me jump up and down with excitement.

However, when our friends emailed to say they were going skiing in Kyrgyzstan, I have to admit, I was jumping up and down with excitement at the thought of joining them in Central Asia for a spot of snow fun.

If we’re going to do it, we need to do some fast planning. The visa situation is complicated by needing our passports in our mits in February for Romania, but I’m determined to find a way.

I’ll keep you posted.
